Atlas Cedar
An extraordinary evergreen, the Atlas Cedar makes a stunning tree. Its silvery blue to bluish-green needles standout in any landscape. It is a slow growing tree and known to develop an attractive, broken up form when given the space to thrive. Atlas Cedars produce barrel-shaped male cones that are 2-3” that sit on the lower branches with larger purple female cones on the upper branches. It is also perfect for naturally discouraging pesky insects by producing an aromatic oil, which is why wood from this cedar is commonly used in chests and furniture drawers.
