Chinese Pistache
The Chinese Pistache is regarded as one of the most beautiful, pest free and easily maintained shade trees in the region. Upon completion of its nick-named “Ugly Duckling” phase, its foliage is a deep green color, turning to brilliant shades of orange, red-orange and crimson in the fall. Chinese Pistache are very adaptable and durable with great resistance to drought, heat and wind. Its canopy grows in an oval, rounded, spreading shape and produces panicles of non-showy greenish flowers in spring.
