Foster Holly

Foster Holly’s are a fast growing evergreen species that grow a lot of red fruit that can persist through winter. It is a dense growing tree that takes on a pyramid-like shape, and can grow up to 20 feet tall. Due to its dense growth pattern, they are an excellent choice for hedging or providing a screen. Their leaves are dark green with a glossy finish, and during the spring they grow white flowers while their red berries start to appear during the fall. Foster Holly’s can grow in acidic, alkaline, moist, sandy, silty, well-drained, and clay soils. Birds are attracted to these trees due to their berries.
