Incense Cedar
Incense Cedar, also known as the White Cedar, is named from the fragrance that comes from the leaves. This straight trunked tree has a red-tinted, furrowed bark with dark green needles. Its aromatic wood resists decay and insects, and due to how the roots grow in the ground, it is widely planted in the mountains for erosion control. Its fruit fruit is reddish- or yellowish-brown that ripens in the early autumn and remains on the tree until spring.
