Kousa Dogwood
Kousa Dogwoods have upright branches when they are young, and as they mature the branches droop and appear more horizontal. They have a striking spring bloom of white flowers, and their fruit are red and oval. Their fruit attract several birds and are edible to humans. They do not have a significant amount of debris, and long-term their overall health is not usually affected by pests. In the fall, the Kousa Dogwood foliage varies from dull red to a deep maroon color.
