Mexican Flowering Dogwood
The unique and vibrant Mexican Flowering Dogwood offers white blossoms that are fused at the tips. They are often compared to Chinese lanterns, and are enchanting flowers. Their leaves tend to stay on the tree longer than most other Dogwoods, and grow best in filtered sun and they need to be shielded from strong afternoon sun. They grow best in fairly moist, acidic soil as trees have low tolerance of alkaline conditions.
