River Birch
Known for its attractive peeling bark, River Birch tend to grow into multi-trunked trees. They are found most commonly along river banks but can tolerate many different soil types and landscapes, being more heat tolerant than other types of birch trees. In the spring, it produces catkins to accompany the serrated green leaves. It’s seeds attract songbirds and the leaves are enjoyed by nearby deer.
