Sassafras

Native to eastern North America, this flowering tree is often found growing in wood margins, fields, thickets, and roadsides. With an excellent fall color ranging from yellow to purple, this tree is sought after for its ornamental value. It has also been used to make tea from its bark. The Sassafras is resistant to most diseases and is tolerant of many types of soil.
