Yellowwood

With bark that is smooth to the touch, people enjoy Yellowwood trees for their white fragrant flowers and bright yellow fall color. Growing into a medium sized tree, Yellowwoods are a great selection to shade a home. Although the flowers are a beautiful addition to any landscape, Yellowwoods are known to be more weak wooded and susceptible to ice storm damage. These trees can typically be found within river valleys containing limestone soils. Those interested, may decide to select the Pink-flowered Yellowwood for a more colorful variety.
