The partnership between Up With Trees and the City of Tulsa traces back to the founding of the organization in 1976. More than 45 years later, this partnership continues with a multi-year Citywide Beautification contract.

On Friday, October 4, 2024, guests will dine with us under the canopy of The Arboretum at Woodward Park. Starting at 6:30 PM, we’re inviting you to an evening filled with delicious food, great company, and a celebration of a now 48 year long legacy demonstrating Tulsan’s passion for green spaces.
As the centennial anniversary of the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre quickly approaches, Up With Trees will be refurbishing an area of the Historic Greenwood District with funding provided by the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Centennial Commission and Keep Oklahoma Beautiful.

As an expansion of our Tree School program, Up With Trees implemented an outdoor classroom at Hamilton Elementary School for students to learn and play surrounded by nature.
Thanks to the generous funding from the Joe and Jean Holliman Family Foundation, Up With Trees will be planting 850 trees and significantly cleaning up the Osage Prairie Trail from Greenwood Cultural Center to 36th Street North.
In 2012 at the request of the City of Tulsa, Up With Trees took over the maintenance of 42 medians throughout Tulsa. Depending on the size of the median, each median can contain anywhere from 2 to 33 trees plus soil and mulch.
